In the fall of 2018, Patricia and I spent a few weeks in northern California. We’ve both spent a fair amount of time on the West Coast of the USA, but hadn’t been in this particular area before. The landscape is incredible; sometimes along the coast it felt like we were in New Zealand or Scotland. And staying in a cabin in a redwoods forest a few minutes from the ocean was well with it. We’re looking for an excuse to go back, if anyone wants to invite us out that way. :)

The wildness of this place was so delightful. And the sunsets are unbeatable. I could live here!

Apparently your not supposed to climb this formation; it was right on the ocean so if you fall down you'd be toast. If the fall didn't kill you the waves crashing you into the rocks would. So I came back down.

Miles and miles of wildness. We spent our days in a cabin in a redwoods forest, only a few minutes from this incredible coastline.

And of course, these travels are only as good as the people you take with you. My wife Patricia makes these adventures worth it!

It's hard to describe just how big these cliffs are. I can't begin to communicate it; you just need to go here yourself. Yosemite definitely lives up to the hype.

The famous Half Dome. One day I want to climb to the top of this thing....

It's hard to communicate just how big a redwood is. These are hundreds of feet tall and thousands of years old.
