About

My name is Reagan Schrock, and I am insatiably curious. This website is a central place for my online content and a way of communicating the things I care about to the world. In 2016, I helped start a nonprofit that works in the Middle East and other areas of need. This process was an enormous learning experience, and as a result I have the privilege of traveling extensively. This led to starting my YouTube channel which focuses on travel, what I'm learning, and how we can make the most of our lives.

Exploring Cambridge

I am fascinated with other cultures, learning new things, and discovering ways to make life more meaningful and productive. Hopefully I can use this website to bring you along for the journey as I explore a vast range of ideas. Reading, writing, traveling, culture, and life's meaning are core themes for me. I find this planet is full of hidden delights waiting to be discovered. The result is my interests being so broad as to feel completely discombobulated; hopefully this won't be too confusing. For example, I love making sushi, reading history, traveling, tech, and making videos. More recently, I became a certified skydiver. It was quite the journey. which I’ll explain in a video and article soon. Not sure how all those things fit together, but it's sure to be an interesting ride.

All this works in my life because I'm married to Patricia, who is fantastic at letting me chase whatever thing I happened to be curious about. This has led us to all sorts of adventures we didn't expect (which I've documented on my YouTube channel). When we're not traveling we live in southeast Tennessee, close to the beautiful Smoky Mountains. It's truly an idyllic place to live and explore.

As you can see, I'm involved in a lot of different things. More recently, I started a podcast with my brother Austin Schrock about what we're learning, travel experiences, and anything else that we find interesting. You can listen to The Mind Castle here.

In my spare time I co-host a podcast with my friend Jaran Miller about what books we are reading. You can listen to The Books We Read here and follow along on Twitter here. To see what I'm reading, follow me on Goodreads.

I also help lead and host Anabaptist Perspectives, where we produce weekly podcasts, videos, and essays about what it means to live as Anabaptist people in the 21st century. This project allows me to meet all kinds of interesting people and I'm constantly learning something new because of it.

If you want to follow more of where life is taking me, I would be honored if you would subscribe to my newsletter, Infrequent Ponderings, which as the name suggests is more sporadic than anything. I put a lot of time into each issue to deliver as much value as I can. You can also find me on all major social media platforms.

Thank you for visiting, and here’s to many more adventures!
